The Horton Chamber of Commerce elected new officers for 2019: President Glen Obbards, Vice President Jon Boller, Secretary Linda Obbards, Treasurer Rachel Knudson, and board members Steph Knudson & Jeannie Clouse.
2019 is an exciting new year for the Horton Chamber of Commerce. The board is gearing up for some special events. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held on the 20th of April. To follow will be the yearly City Garage Sales, May 31st and June 1st. You can call the Horton Chamber office to get your garage sale dates and location in the paper, compliments of the Chamber.
The next event will be the Brown County Fair Parade. The day of the parade has been changed this year. It will be on Friday, July 12th. We are hoping this will be a welcoming change for all those who help us make it a Big success.
October 5th will be our Octoberfest. This date has changed also. It is usually the 2nd Saturday in October, but due to some big changes we had to change the date. This year ALL of the events will be at the Blue Building area. The car show will be held there along with all the food trucks and the Arts & Crafts show inside the Blue Building. The Chamber feels like this is going to work out really great this year having it all in one area.
Our final event of the year is our Wonderful Night of Lights that is held every year at the Civic Center Building located at the fair grounds. Along with Reinvent this event is always a big hit. The Horton Chamber along with many other businesses and individuals have made this event a BIG SUCCESS.
The Chamber thanks all the businesses and individuals that have joined. If you would like to be a member of the Chamber, please call 785-486-3321.
