The town of Horton has begun a costly but necessary step to enhance the streets and curbs in the downtown area. Mayor Lentz said "The Horton City Commission has approved up to $240,000 for this project, and Reinvent Horton is also utilizing $34,000 from donations to go towards the costs. The estimated project total is $400,000, leaving us with a deficit of $120,000." The city has set up a fundraiser to help with the remainder of the funds needed for the project. Please help us re-energize, re-vitalize and re-invent Horton as a community! You can donate by clicking on the following link.

After a city wide meeting with Marcus Lemonis, entrepreneur and host of the hit TV show "The Profit", the community has come together to "Reinvent Horton". The Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Tim Lentz, and the community of Horton come together at least once a week to clean, rebuild, assist residents and business owners who need help with yard & outdoor work, and brainstorm on future plans to better the City Of Horton. Volunteers gather at the Blue Building in downtown Horton every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. to get the projects for the day. The Chamber is also selling t-shirts for the project and can be ordered at the Blue Building.
