    - The City of Horton is accepting applications for an individual to provide janitorial and maintenance services. This employee will perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, kitchens and bathrooms, washing walls and glass and removing rubbish. This employee will also be responsible for conducting pre and post event inspections with Blue Building rental customers, and securing the building when events are concluded. Duties may include overall building and grounds maint...enance and repair functions. Applicants are expected to make minor repairs in buildings, such as fixing leaky pipes, and desks and chairs.
    This employee should be able to work independently and possess good organizational and public relation skills. Time worked per week will not exceed 25 hours.     - The City of Horton is currently accepting applications for a full-time City Superintendent. The City Superintendent is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Public Works Department of the City of Horton. This employee supervises a crew of skilled workers in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the electric, sanitation and water systems, and the streets and alleys. The employee should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have
excellent supervisory, organizational, public relation, and communication skills.
