Spring Cleaning Time for Horton Residents


    Is your attic, basement, garage, or yard overflowing with stuff?  Get rid of the clutter by taking it to the Civic Center grounds for free dumping on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Acceptable items are furniture, carpet, empty paint cans, plastic, mattresses, wood, cabinets, tables, windows, demolished buildings, tubs, toilets, sinks, and shingles.  Waste Management will furnish large dumpsters and city crew will assist with unloading large items.

    Tires will be accepted at the following prices:  car tires $2 without rim or $3 with rim; semi-tires $6 without rim or $8 with rim; tractor tires $15 for the large tires, $8 for the small and $3 for the front tires.

    Antifreeze, herbicides, pesticides, household cleaners, paint & paint products; spray paint, alkaline and Ni-Cad batteries, mercury, used oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, gasoline, leaves, grass clippings and household trash examples of items that will NOT be accepted at the cleanup day.
